What is the scheme?
The Dental Sedation Courses Safe Sedation Practice Validation Scheme is designed to guide you through a comprehensive self assessment of your sedation practices and collect specific evidence to ensure that you are fully compliant with both the current sedation standards and what is expected of you by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or RQIA. As part of this service we will guide you on any tweaks, changes or policy updates to ensure you are fully compliant. You will also receive a framed Safe Sedation Practice Validation Certificate upon successful completion. This will demonstrate that your sedation services have been externally validated by an accredited sedation training provider.
Comprehensive Self-Assessment
Navigate through a detailed self-assessment of your sedation practices to ensure compliance with current standards and regulatory expectations.
Guidance on Compliance
Receive expert guidance on necessary adjustments, policy updates, and compliance requirements to meet sedation standards including provision of templates etc.
Validation Certificate upon completion
Upon successful completion, receive a framed Safe Sedation Practice Certificate from Dental Sedation Courses demonstrating external validation
What is Involved?
1. After you sign up, one of our experienced external assessors will contact you within 24 hours to confirm your acceptance on the scheme 2. You will complete an initial comprehensive self assessment questionnaire covering all aspects of sedation at your practice and submit this to your external assessor 3. They will then provide you with a checklist of all of the evidence you will need in place to ensure compliance and you will submit this evidence in full for review 4. If you need help with any policies or evidence that you do not have in place already then your assessor will be able to advise/send templates etc. 5. Once your assessor is satisfied that everything has been successfully submitted they will sign you off and arrange for your framed scheme certificate to be posted to your practice. 6. We are not affiliated with the CQC/RQIA, we are here to help and ensure that you are fully compliant when they do visit!
