Dental Sedation Courses offer ONLINE quality, readily accessible Conscious Sedation courses and Relevant CPD training to Dentists, DCPs, Dental Nurses and Medics delivered by experienced sedation providers throughout the UK and Ireland. We aim to help reduce the barriers to high quality training in order to ensure safe, accessible and affordable conscious sedation can be made available to all patients in primary care.
Our courses follow the latest IACSD guidelines (and updated SDCEP guidelines) and have been fully accredited by either the IACSD via the Royal College of Surgeons or the NEBDN for dental sedation nursing. Our Blended learning course format for all of our courses enables you to complete the entire course from your home and/or dental practice saving expenses and more importantly your time.
All Courses have been split into online theory and skills training followed by mentored supervised practice (with the exception of refresher courses which are usually completed online). We are fortunate to have the availability of mentor centres in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland where dentists, dental nurses, hygienists and therapists are able to complete their mentored cases on patients that we provide; this can be arranged on an individual basis.

Sedation Course Lead and Tutor
Andrew is our course lead and has been carrying out conscious sedation techniques since 2011. He has a range of experience in different conscious sedation techniques and besides numerous short courses he has completed the prestigious Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation at Trinity College University, Dublin. He is a member of the DSTG and has written for a number of dental publications and journals on the topic of conscious sedation, most recently in Dentistry magazine on the topic of sedation use during full arch dental implant surgeries. Andrew currently works in Northern Ireland between general dental practice and implant referral practice. He carries out conscious sedation techniques for everything from dental impressions to full arch implant work. Andrew is enthusiastic about improving the provision of safe effective conscious sedation for an increasingly anxious UK population. Andrew, along with a nationwide network of experienced sedation practitioners has developed the courses provided by dental sedation courses to provide the latest , fully accredited, high quality peer reviewed private courses in the field of conscious sedation in dentistry.

Dental Nurse Tutor
Amy is a senior dental sedation nurse with many years of experience within the NHS and private sectors of dentistry and works clinically with sedation alongside our course lead. Amy has had a keen interest in teaching and assisting other dental nurses through their nursing courses and has completed the level 4 award in education and training to solidify this interest in teaching. Amy oversees the dental nurse training courses and in particular the NEBDN dental sedation certificate course. Amy welcomes new candidates and looks forward to helping them further their career in dental nursing. Amy also is part of the DENTAL NURSE COURSES TEAM who run a brilliant NEBDN Dental Nursing Diploma course
UK Wide Team of Sedation Mentors
We have a fantastic group of experienced sedation practitioners, both dentists and dental nurses, across the UK who can assist and mentor you in achieving your accreditation for independent sedation practice. All of our dental practitioners have completed Postgraduate training in conscious sedation. They can either supervise your cases at the mentoring clinics (Luton, Burton on Trent, Glasgow) or, particularly for inhalation sedation, they can come to you.
